The pool party

Bill and Drew hosted the pool party for Memorial Day this year. As usual, it was a nice time.

I got up, had coffee on the front porch, and went to the flea market. There wasn't really much there, but I picked up a white bubble sugar bowl for Russ for $1. One of the inside people was closing her booth. She's been selling for 14 years. Too bad she didn't have anything I wanted.

I got over to Russ and Billy's about 1:00, and hung out with Billy for a while before Russ got home. Ben showed up to ride with us. We rounded everything up and got on the road about 2, then stopped for lunch at the Chinese Buffet on the way up, since none of us had eaten lunch, and we didn't know if they would have nibbles out at the party or not before dinner.

We met Justin in Inman and did a Wal-Mart run for beer and stuff before heading over to the party. This year's party was a Sordid Lives theme, so we had tuna casserole and other food mentioned in the movie tucked in amongst the other cookout fare, and they had a funeral flower arrangement on the gate to the pool area. Billy picked up some pool squirt toys that were later used for giving people shots! The water was pretty cold though, so most people didn't get in.

After dark, and a mercifully short bout of karaoke while they set the sound system up, we watched the movie. I was surprised so many people there hadn't seen it already! It was a fun party.
