The cats, conveniently, were in the green room already when I left for work this morning, which meant I didn't have to wrestle them in there. After yesterday that was a blessing, although I spent part of the time on the way to work wondering if they are already institutionalized to the point that they just won't leave the room. After two days. Yeah. So apparently there is just no pleasing me. I am SO glad I am not a working mother.
I chatted with Brian today about the flea market. I'm looking forward to that, although we are leaving at an un-Godly hour. I also confirmed one of Justin's Depression Glass finds. He got a super deal on it, and I didn't covet at all because I didn't like the piece. It was Old English, which I've never cared for, plus it was amber, and I've never liked that color. He is also considering having a 'Summer in the South' drop-in this weekend. I loved hearing about that - Justin entertains fabulously, and I have missed his hospitality.
I also checked in with Jeff and James. James continues to tell me he's fine, so it would be co-dependent of me to insist on worrying about him. I'm officially down-grading my alarm status on him to concern. Jeff told me that he and Mark had a doctor's appointment today for results, but I didn't hear back about said results.
I noticed a super picture of my mother and Ava today, and caputred it to use as a screen saver.
Fabulous picture of Mom
It doesn't seem like much, but tonight was the only night this week I was going to be home. Jeremiah sent a series of texts about coming over, but didn't show up, which is par for the course for him. My former plan was to go home and pack up things to take to the Jockey Lot on Saturday. I was going to be all industrious. To that end I went dumpster-diving at work today for boxes.
But by the time I got home I was tired, plus I was waiting on Jeremiah (at least initially), which was a good excuse not to tear the house up. Then I decided that I didn't want boxes in David's way while he was here tomorrow (which was as good an excuse as any), plus it was Thursday night, which means the Chopped marathon was on (never mind that I had seen them all before - did I mention it is the BEST. show. ever!?). So I just wound up eating leftover pizza and going to bed too late. Which I really just didn't mind at all.
